Great News for Designers – Design Middle East Awards 2018 is Coming

Design Middle East Awards 2018 is about celebration of the creative best and foremost from the region’s design industry. The awards will honour the best of designers, architects, projects, and design oriented companies. The award ceremony with 18 categories will strive to recognise the individual excellence, company strengths, and project success and the leading design experts will form a jury and be part of the selection procedure.
 
The awards presentation will take place at a five star venue followed by the ceremony and gala dinner. It’s an event to rejoice, network, and celebrate the deserving talent. Winner receives a commemorative trophy, extensive print and online coverage in Design Middle East.

2018 INDEX Architecture & Design Awards is on 16th to 18th September 2018 

INDEX is the Middle East & North Africa’s largest gathering for the design community. Connecting architects, interior designers, developers & procurement professionals with new brands, trend setting start-ups & the biggest international names in the interior furnishings & fit-out scene across all industries.

In March 2018, with over 400 exhibitors, INDEX was a fusion of new product launches, design ideas & innovations. Not only is it the longest running show of its kind in the region, the March 2018 show was also co-located with WORKSPACE & SURFACE Design Middle East.
 
 INDEX return for a second edition in 2018 – offering up a twist on our traditional show and an exploration of one of the most significant design journeys of all time. Our new theme, announced this week, will take visitors on journey from east to west as we celebrate ‘The Silk Road’ and the colours and patterns that represent the historical trade route that lives on to this day. The show will focus on individual designs and value driven products from Asia, sat alongside premium products from Europe.

The 11th annual Middle East Architect Awards recognises the best projects and people in the architecture community across the Middle East. With projects ranging from the world’s tallest towers to one-off villas, and individual nominations from veteran designers as well as bright young architects just starting out, the Middle East Architect Awards are the benchmark of success in the Middle East’s architecture sector.

The 11th annual Middle East Architect Awards recognises the best projects and people in the architecture community across the Middle East. With projects ranging from the world’s tallest towers to one-off villas, and individual nominations from veteran designers as well as bright young architects just starting out, the Middle East Architect Awards are the benchmark of success in the Middle East’s architecture sector.

 
Despite a challenging economic climate, the Middle East Architect Awards has grown every year since its inception, and 2018 is set to be no different with awards being presented across 13 categories at a gala dinner ceremony on Wednesday 21st November which is not to miss for anyone that works in the design or architecture sector.

Dubai Design Week is the region’s largest creative festival, reflecting Dubai’s position as design capital of the Middle East. The six-day programme is made up of over 200 events covering design across a range of disciplines including architecture, product, furniture, interior and graphic design.
 
An accessible meeting point for the global design community, Dubai Design Week, staged in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), is a platform for regional design as well as a catalyst for the growth of the creative scene in Dubai. In 2017, the annual event attracted 60,000 visitors to Dubai Design District alone who attended and engaged with the varied programme of design-related events, exhibitions, performances, awards, talks and workshops and experiences.

London Design Festival -Darcroom is on 19-20 September 2018

London Design Festival is back on this month . It is a curated, creative lighting exhibition for specifiers and designers and is returning for its second year in a new venue in the centre of London. darc room is the ‘new kid on the trade show block’ brought to you by arc and darc magazines and light collective, the team behind the darc awards.
